This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use the GigGrid mobile app and the giggrid.app website (together, the “Service”). GigGrid is an event companion and crew-coordination app: attendees use it to browse line-ups and build a personal schedule, and event crews use it to coordinate in real time.
The Service is provided by SHUTTER SYMPHONY SRL (“GigGrid”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), which acts as the data controller for your personal data. If you have any questions, contact us at hi@giggrid.app.
Your email address and password (stored securely; passwords are hashed by our authentication system), and any name, company, role, or profile photo you choose to provide. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a unique identifier and the email address associated with that account.
The information you add to the Service, such as events, stages, acts, schedules, favorited acts, teams and team memberships, invitations, check-ins, cues, tasks, and help requests.
Profile pictures and event cover images you choose to upload.
A device push token used to deliver notifications you’ve enabled (check-ins, cues, help requests, and reminders).
When you search for an event location, the text you type is sent to Google’s Places service to return address suggestions. The GigGrid app does not access your device’s GPS or precise location.
If you use the optional Smart Import feature, the URL or file you provide is processed on our server by a third-party AI provider solely to extract schedule information (stages, acts, and times). We do not use this content for any other purpose.
Standard server logs such as IP address, request timestamps, and basic app/device information, used to keep the Service secure and reliable.
We do not use your data for third-party advertising, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process your data on these bases:
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Service, under appropriate contractual safeguards:
| Recipient | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Apple & Google | Sign-in, only if you choose those methods |
| Apple Push Notification service | Delivering push notifications |
| Our email service provider | Sending account and transactional emails |
| Google (Places API) | Event location search suggestions |
| A third-party AI provider | Powering the optional Smart Import feature |
| Our hosting (self-managed servers, EU) | Storing and operating the Service |
We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of GigGrid and its users.
Our servers are located in the European Union. Some service providers (such as Apple and Google) may process data outside the EU. Where that occurs, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, your personal data is scheduled for permanent deletion and removed after a short grace period, except where we must retain certain information to meet legal obligations.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export (portability), restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can exercise many of these rights directly in the app’s account settings, or by contacting hi@giggrid.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Romania, the ANSPDCP).
You can delete your account and associated personal data at any time from within the app (Account settings), or by emailing hi@giggrid.app. We will process your request in accordance with applicable law.
We protect your information with encryption in transit (TLS), database-level access controls (row-level security), and secure password storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
GigGrid is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
You can enable or disable push notifications at any time in your device settings and within the app’s alert preferences. Some local reminders (for example, for acts you favorite) are scheduled on your device.
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date above. If we make material changes, we may also notify you within the app.
